About Rachel Thornhill ABIPP

Hello there!
 
I’m Rachel, wife to Andy and Mummy to Oscar (aged 12) and Benjamin (aged 10).
 
We live in Lower Kingswood, in the beautiful Surrey Hills just a few miles from Reigate, and not far from where I grew up. After a few years away for university in Oxford, and some time in Enfield, we were fortunate enough to be able to return to Surrey, and we now have an active family life here in the Surrey community.
 
Photography has always been my passion, and 8 years ago when I launched Rachel Thornhill Photography, my dream job became a reality. 
 
To help ensure all of my Clients get a great photographic experience and fantastic customer service, I am a fully qualified and award-winning Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. Those are the letters after my name if you were wondering! All of this ensures my work is of a high standard, and you have the reassurance of using a qualified and fully insured Professional Photographer to capture your important stories. I treat my Clients like Friends, and although we always have fun, I take my work seriously, being just the kind of photographer I’d want to have to capture MY family and OUR story.

I have also had work published in The Guardian, The Evening Standard, Spirit & Destiny, and been featured in Professional Photo Magazine, The Photographer and various Surrey based magazines including Time and Leisure.  
 
When I put my camera down, I am a Beaver Scout Leader, I love practicing Yoga, having fun on rollercoasters with my little thrill-seekers and spending time on the coast around Kingswear, Devon. Blackpool Sands is my happy place!
 
Below are some images from a Family Portrait session we had with Paul Wilkinson FBIPP. I wanted to know just how you, my Clients feel in front of the camera, and having our first Family Portrait Session 7 years ago was one of the best things we have ever invested in. So much so we had another one last year, with my parents and siblings this time! The Storybook Albums we chose are one of my most treasured possessions. I want to give YOU, my Clients, that joy and create for you beautiful portraits to treasure for many years to come.
